Zuleima is the proper name of a woman of Arabic etymology It contains characteristics of softness and strength at the same time. The same ones that Arabs attributed to Sicily, called : Zuleima "land strong as the sun and sweet as honey".

The Cultural Association Zuleima brings together different perspectives on  Ragusa Ibla and the nature surrounding it: the one of people born here and always admiring its beauty; the one of someone who wants to pass on the knowledge of his own land and the one of those who met by chance this corner of Sicily and decided to live here, recognizing the rare magic of the place.

The real heart of Zuleima Association, Widespread Hospitality in Ragusa Ibla, is its operational headquarters  where Chiara and Alice welcome and assist the guests.

Chiara,  from Marche (a region in central Italy), has lived in Ragusa Ibla in the last four years. She obtained a degree in Conservation of Cultural Heritage and specializing at School of Specialization in Classical Archeology in Catania combining her passion for archeology to the desire to know the history and beauty of this land.

Alice,  from Ragusa, after graduating at the Accademia di Belle Arti, worked in an art gallery, and then deals of artistic ceramics. Today, young mom, she decided to take part to this project aiming to bring out the baroque town of her native city.
