 Il Giardino dei Sospiri (Sighs Garden), nestled among palm and lemon trees, is in the real heart of old town, (just 20 m from the Church of Saint Francis all’Immacolata, UNESCO-monument, 100 m from the charming gardens and 150 m from Piazza Duomo). It enjoys the beautiful view of the entire valley where the River Irminio flows.
 The name of the way where the B&B is, has a curious origin. In the 19th century it was one of the ways entering the ancient town. Here, special guards checked goods coming in and going out requiring a toll. Often these traders were peasants of surrounding countryside that took their products to the market to be sold. And when they paid for the (sometimes) heavy toll, the only thing they could do was “sighing”. So that lane was called "Via dei Sospiri” (Sighs Lane). As you can see nothing romantic, even if we hope you can have romantic sighs in this B&B.
